Chris Creel


Chris Creel is the Managing Attorney at Creel Law Group. He founded the firm in December 2015. Chris graduated from the Kinkaid School in Houston, Texas and then graduated with honors from the University of Richmond and the University of Texas Law School. Chris has a great deal of experience in a wide variety of law and will take any case that interests him. In his spare time he loves to hug his beautiful spouse and children, as well as his dog Rumor. The fish are harder to hug. He enjoys lighting design, art, mosaics, and righting wrongs. You can find him at Buzz Mill Coffee most Monday nights or at your local burn.


Stephen Dittlinger


Stephen Dittlinger is the Director of Litigation for the Creel Law Group. Stephen concentrates his law practice in civil litigation with a primary focus on enforcement of transferred ad valorem tax liens. Stephen represents the largest tax transfer lender in Texas. Stephen has extensive litigation experience in general civil litigation and insurance defense litigation. He has served as lead trial attorney in more than a hundred jury and non-jury trials over a forty-year AV peer rating in the legal publication of Martindale-Hubbell, which he has maintained since 1992. In addition to his current practice, Stephen has represented financial institutions and general creditors in state and federal courts throughout Texas on matters involving secured transactions, judicial and non-judicial foreclosures, debt collection, bankruptcy and general commercial disputes.


Taylor Roznovsky

Litigation attorney

After graduating from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor’s in English, Taylor attended South Texas College of Law for his J.D. Taylor published articles through an international trade law journal, Currents. He is also certified as a mediator for Conflict Resolution. After graduating law school in 2015 Roznovsky found himself in a number of firms in Denton, Pearland, and Austin, representing clients in divorce and custody suits. Taylor’s time spent working in family law provided him a great deal of experience in front of judges and court staff, while counseling and advising clients. Taylor brought his skills into Real Estate Law, and has been able to apply his litigation skills into new and ongoing challenges on a regular basis.


Marcia Pastrana

Marcia Pastrana enjoys anything involving real estate. She has many years of experience as an attorney as well as a realtor and has dealt with many complicated transactions involving real estate negotiations, document drafting and litigation. As a native Austinite, Marcia graduated from The University of Texas with a Finance and Law degree. Marcia’s hobbies are reading, the arts, cooking, and traveling.


Gillian Foley-Coates

Litigation Attorney

Gillian Foley-Coates has been a lawyer and a director of development of local non-profits in Austin for many years. She has advocated for justice as a former prosecutor, a former Staff Attorney at the Court of Criminal Appeals, and is now a proud member of the Creel Law Group. Gillian has also been a long-time mentor to students who strive to be first generation college graduates as well as to children of incarcerated parents. She raised her three children in Austin. Gillian enjoys walks around Austin’s Town Lake, trips to the beach, documentaries, and any movie made by Richard Linklater. Gillian went to Saint Mary’s Hall High School, Saint Mary’s College, and Saint Mary’s University School of Law. She is hoping Saint Mary will carry her on her wings through life’s adventures!


Richard Estrada

Criminal Law

Richard’s job is to defend people against accusers because he sees how difficult it is to defend yourself against others. Our Criminal Law expert, Richard has lived in Austin for almost 20 years, and has lived in Texas his entire life. He came for college and graduated with a degree in Government while working in the service industry. Richard gained experience in the tech industry for 5 years before rediscovering his dream of fighting for people who need help. Richard feels blessed to have encountered many incredible mentors who taught him all areas of criminal law, from investigation to trial. On the weekends, you can find Richard on adventures with his wife and two daughters around town. Their favorite escape is a day in the Greenbelt with a quiet spot to swim and a great book to read. Outside of the outside, you can find Richard with a good soccer game on TV.


Eddie Cantu

Bankruptcy attorney

Eddie Cantu is an attorney with 32 years of experience concentrating on Bankruptcy Law. He has filed and handled thousands of bankruptcy cases. Licensed to practice in The United States District Courts of the Western, Eastern, Northern and Southern Districts of Texas, he received his B.A. from The University of Texas at Austin, and J.D. from The University of Texas School of Law.


Chrissy Nguyen

Senior Paralegal

Chrissy Nguyen is a native Texan, originally from Houston. She attended The University of Texas at Austin – Hook ’em Horns! Chrissy holds a BA in Sociology with a minor in Business Foundations. She fell in love with the city and never left! Chrissy is the Senior Paralegal at Creel Law Group and is part of the foundation on which the firm’s principles and values are built on. She has 10 plus years of experience in the mortgage and foreclosure industry. Chrissy values and cherishes her time with her family, friends, and her mini schnauzer – Apollo. She enjoys traveling and is an advocate for fitness and healthy living.


Julia Pinney

Lead Litigation Paralegal

Julia is a native Austinite and graduated from St. Edward’s with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. Julia started at Creel Law Group as a Litigation Assistant and quickly moved up the ladder to Lead Litigation Paralegal. She has played piano for 18 years and when she isn’t slipping into a daze of classical music she is clumsily hiking and enjoying other outdoor activities with her pup, Zeus.


Aleita Thomas

Bankruptcy Paralegal

Aleita Thomas is a graduate of The University of Texas at San Antonio with a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice and a concentration in Public Policy. She spent the beginning of her career working in the public sector as a member of the Bexar County Court System and currently enjoys working as the Bankruptcy administrator and Paralegal for Creel Law Group. Coming from a huge military background with retired Army parents, Aleita has lived in countless states but claims Texas as her forever home. Besides being a team member at Creel, Aleita enjoys reading, traveling and is currently working on publishing her first novel.


Marc Salazar


Marc Salazar is a tenured certified Paralegal with an extensive knowledge of matters pertaining to civil litigation; specializing in real estate law, tax law, bankruptcy, personal injury and criminal defense. During his free time, Marc enjoys working on writing his first novel, running the trails with his dog and advocating to bring awareness around protecting what’s left of this planet. Marc lives by the Orison Swett Marden quote, “Success is the child of drudgery and perseverance. It cannot be coaxed or bribed; pay the price and it is yours"


Maria Castro


Maria Jose Is one of our Latin mixes in the office. She was born and raised in Venezuela; Maria has a huge desire for learning and an accent that can make anybody smile. Maria Jose obtained her bachelor’s degree in Law in Venezuela in 2013. She was so passionate about the legal system that she decided to move to Texas in 2015 to obtain an associates degree in Paralegal studies. She enjoys educating herself on the American Legal System and spends her free time working out, volunteering, traveling, and is still trying to figure out how move around the city without a GPS.


Julia O’Neil


Julia is a native Texan from the Austin / San Antonio area, meaning of course, that she has an advanced degree in tacos, live music, and aqua leisure. Even though Julia has been hanging around these parts for quite some time, she is the new kid on the block here at Creel Law Group. Julia used to work in Accounting. She enjoys looking into facts and telling people how it is. In her down time, she loves hanging out with her family and Boxer dogs, or reading not terribly serious books. She also like Pina Coladas and long walks on the beach.


Amanda Whiteaker


Amanda is a litigation paralegal and is a graduate of Austin Community College. Amanda started her career at Creel Law Group as an intern, and possesses both a strong work ethic and a desire to learn. A proud Navy brat, Amanda was born in New Orleans and has lived on both coasts. In her spare time, Amanda enjoys traveling, photography, music, and spending time with her husband Tom and beagle Chloe.


Aaron Martinez


Aaron has lived in the Austin Texas area for over 20 years with experience working in the Auto Insurance, Workers Compensation and Tax Lien Foreclosure fields. He is also a Wedding DJ with experience in Event Lighting. During his free time, Aaron enjoys being with my family and friends and experiencing the great outdoors.
